Job Description As a Security Officer - Healthcare Patrol Driver in Oxford, NC , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Healthcare, and more. As an unarmed, driving patrol officer in a healthcare location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, complete routine rounds, and stay visible to help discourage security-related incidents. You will support staff, patients, and visitors with professional customer service and clear communication while documenting observations. Requirements

  • Proof of a high school diploma or GED is required.
  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Comfortable using computer or tablet is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to patients, visitors, and staff by carrying out security-related procedures, location-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including reporting hazards, suspicious activity, and disruptive behavior per site protocol.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of hospital interiors, entrances, parking areas, and the perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and identify maintenance and access concerns.
  • Monitor access points and public areas, assist with visitor wayfinding, and support staff with non-violent de-escalation and service requests as directed.
  • Complete accurate reports, incident documentation, and activity logs, and communicate observations and/or concerns to Allied Universal supervision and site leadership.
