As a Patrol Unarmed Officer with Allied Universal in a healthcare environment, you will monitor assigned areas and conduct routine patrols to help deter security-related incidents. Requirements

  • Must have 1 or more years of experience in armed security-related, law enforcement, and/or military roles.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to clients, staff, and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies within a healthcare environment.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including medical emergencies or disturbances on the premises.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the facility and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or suspicious behavior.
  • Monitor entrances, exits, and restricted areas to help to deter unauthorized access and maintain a secure environment for patients, visitors, and staff.
  • Document observations, incidents, and security-related activities according to site protocols and Allied Universal procedures.
  • Collaborate with healthcare staff and first responders as needed during emergency response activities.
  • Remain alert and observant to changes in the environment and report any concerns or hazards to appropriate personnel.
