As an Unarmed Patrol Officer in a busy healthcare location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, conduct routine rounds, and maintain a visible presence that helps to deter security-related incidents. You will support staff, patients, and visitors with professional customer service, clear communication, and timely reporting. Requirements

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws. Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.

• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to patients, visitors, and staff by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities within a healthcare location.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including assisting with de-escalation and notifying medical staff and/or local responders as directed by post orders.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of hospital corridors, lobbies, waiting areas, clinics, loading areas, stairwells, and the exterior perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or policy violations.
• Monitor access points and report unsecured doors, propped doors, and unauthorized entry attempts per site procedures.
• Observe and report suspicious behavior, unattended items, and unusual conditions, escalating concerns through the chain of command.
• Assist with visitor management practices such as providing directions, supporting wayfinding, and referring questions to the appropriate department.
• Support staff with security-related requests such as escorts to parking areas and response to disruptive behavior, as permitted by post orders.
• Complete detailed incident reports, patrol logs, and other documentation in a timely manner, maintaining confidentiality of patient and/or facility information.
• Use radios, phones, and other communication tools to coordinate response, request assistance, and provide status updates to the site supervisor and/or operations center.
• Perform other duties as assigned consistent with post orders and client site requirements.
