As an Unarmed Patrol Officer in a busy healthcare location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, conduct routine rounds, and maintain a visible presence that helps to deter security-related incidents. You will support staff, patients, and visitors with professional customer service, clear communication, and timely reporting. Requirements

Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.

As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to patients, visitors, and staff by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities within a healthcare location.
Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including assisting with de-escalation and notifying medical staff and/or local responders as directed by post orders.
Conduct regular and random patrols of hospital corridors, lobbies, waiting areas, clinics, loading areas, stairwells, and the exterior perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or policy violations.
Monitor access points and report unsecured doors, propped doors, and unauthorized entry attempts per site procedures.
Observe and report suspicious behavior, unattended items, and unusual conditions, escalating concerns through the chain of command.
Assist with visitor management practices such as providing directions, supporting wayfinding, and referring questions to the appropriate department.
Support staff with security-related requests such as escorts to parking areas and response to disruptive behavior, as permitted by post orders.
Complete detailed incident reports, patrol logs, and other documentation in a timely manner, maintaining confidentiality of patient and/or facility information.
Use radios, phones, and other communication tools to coordinate response, request assistance, and provide status updates to the site supervisor and/or operations center.
Perform other duties as assigned consistent with post orders and client site requirements.
