As an Access Control Officer in a healthcare location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas to help maintain a secure environment for staff, patients, and visitors. Your role involves conducting routine patrols, managing access points, and remaining visible to help deter security-related incidents. Requirements

At least six months of security-related experience is required.
Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

A guard card or license is preferred.
Experience with access control or badge systems is preferred.
Customer service experience is preferred.
Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to clients and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies within a healthcare environment.
Monitor and control access to the location, verifying identification and credentials of individuals entering the premises to help to deter unauthorized entry.
Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established protocols for healthcare settings.
Conduct regular and random patrols around the building and perimeter to help to deter security-related risks and report any unusual activity or hazards.
Document observations, incidents, and activities in daily logs and reports as required by Allied Universal and client site procedures.
Communicate with staff, visitors, and emergency responders as needed to support security-related operations and emergency response activities.
Follow all client and Allied Universal policies and procedures specific to healthcare environments, including confidentiality and patient privacy guidelines.
