About The Position

As a Security Officer - Healthcare Access Desk in Hawthorne, NY, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Healthcare, and more. As an Allied Universal Security Professional assigned to an access control post in a healthcare location, you will monitor and patrol designated areas, help to deter security-related incidents, and provide exceptional customer service. Your presence will help maintain a secure environment for all staff, visitors, and patients. This is a driving position, so a valid driver's license is required. Requirements

At least 2 years of security-related experience is required.
A valid driver’s license is required in the state where the job is located.
Must be at least 21 years of age.
Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

Monitor and control access to the location, verifying identification and credentials of individuals entering and exiting the premises.
Assist visitors, staff, and contractors by providing information and directions while maintaining security-related protocols.
Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the location and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or security-related incidents.
Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established procedures and protocols.
Document and report security-related incidents, observations, and activities as required by site-specific policies.
Collaborate with Allied Universal management and local emergency services during emergency response activities when appropriate.
Follow all site-specific policies and procedures to support a secure environment within the healthcare setting.
