About The Position
As a Security Officer Healthcare Access Control Weekdays in Laguna Beach, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Healthcare, and more. Requirements
- At least 1 year of security-related experience is required.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
Nice To Haves
- Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
- CPR and/or First Aid is preferred.
- Customer service experience is preferred.
- Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to staff, patients, and visitors by carrying out access control procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities appropriate to a healthcare location.
- Monitor entrances, exits, and restricted areas, helping to deter unauthorized access and supporting approved entry procedures for people, visitors, and deliveries.
- Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and reporting security-related concerns to the appropriate personnel.
- Conduct regular and random patrols around the location and perimeter, remaining aware of access points, parking areas, and other sensitive areas where conditions may vary by site.
- Assist with visitor management, badge verification, and directing individuals to the proper department while following post orders and healthcare location protocols.
