About The Position

As a Security Officer - Guest Registration Desk in Wilmington, DE, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries. As a Front Desk Officer with Allied Universal, you will be the welcoming first point of contact at a professional location, supporting access control, visitor check-in, badge management, and phone and/or radio communications. You will help document incidents, monitor cameras and alarms, and partner with onsite teams to help reduce security-related concerns. Requirements

  • Have at least 1 year of security experience.
  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • CPR and/or First Aid certification is preferred and may be completed post hire.
  • Be comfortable using a computer and/or tablet is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to clients and visitors by following site-specific, security-related procedures and policies, and when appropriate, supporting emergency response activities.
  • Staff the front desk, greet and screen visitors, and provide directions and/or assistance in accordance with site access requirements.
  • Monitor access control systems, alarms, and/or CCTV as assigned, and report irregular activity per post orders.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, escalating to appropriate personnel as needed.
  • Complete required logs, reports, and pass-down communications to support daily operations and help to deter policy violations.
