About The Position

As a Security Officer - Government Screening Operations in West Palm Beach, FL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As a Screener in a government location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, helping to deter security-related incidents while maintaining a visible presence. You will conduct routine patrols, interact with visitors and staff, and provide outstanding customer service and communication. Requirements

Applicants must have 3 or more years of combined law enforcement, military, or security-related experience or possess a college degree.
Applicants must provide proof of a high school diploma or GED.
Applicants must be at least 21 years of age.
Lifting more than 20 pounds is preferred.
A guard card or security-related license is preferred.
Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

Perform screening duties at designated entry points to help maintain a secure environment for all visitors, staff, and personnel.
Provide customer service by interacting professionally with individuals entering the location and assisting with inquiries as needed.
Follow site-specific security-related procedures and policies, including protocols for screening and access control.
Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, escalating issues as required.
Monitor for suspicious activity or unauthorized items during the screening process and report findings to appropriate personnel.
Maintain accurate records of screening activities and incidents according to established guidelines.
Support emergency response activities as directed by Allied Universal and/or site management.
