About The Position

As a Security Officer - Government Rover Patrol in Boca Raton, FL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As an unarmed Patrol Officer with Allied Universal at a government location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, complete routine rounds, and stay highly visible to help reduce security-related incidents. You will greet employees and visitors with professional customer service, communicate clearly, and document observations and/or concerns. Requirements

  • Have at least 1 year of security-related experience.
  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • A guard card and/or license is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to visitors, employees, and contractors at a government location by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including de-escalation, notifying site contacts and/or public agency personnel, and completing required notifications.
  • Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols of buildings, grounds, parking areas, and perimeter points; working environments and conditions may vary by site.
  • Monitor access points and key areas, observe for unusual activity and/or policy violations, and help to deter unauthorized entry through visible presence and professional communication.
  • Document patrols, incidents, and observations in written reports and/or electronic logs, and communicate pertinent information to Allied Universal leadership and site representatives.
