As a Security Officer - Government Patrol - Full Time in Boise, ID, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As a Patrol Unarmed Officer with Allied Universal, you will monitor and patrol designated government locations to help create a secure environment for all. Requirements

  • Availability across various days and shifts
  • Reliability and ability to adapt to different post assignments
  • A desire to gain broad experience and grow within the company
  • Interest in transitioning into full-time roles when available
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.

  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures and following site-specific policies, as well as responding to emergency situations as appropriate.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, assisting in maintaining order at the government location.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around the building and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and observe for unusual conditions.
  • Document and report any security-related incidents, hazards, or suspicious activities encountered during patrols.
  • Communicate with Allied Universal management and/or local law enforcement as needed during incidents or emergencies.
  • Assist visitors and employees by providing directions or information as requested, while maintaining a professional presence throughout the location.
  • Support access control procedures by monitoring entrances, exits, and restricted areas as required by site policies.
