About The Position

As a Security Officer - Government Patrol Operations in Brooklyn, NY, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. Requirements

  • A valid New York State Security Guard License is required.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies and/or emergency response activities as directed by Allied Universal.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following guidance as appropriate for a government location.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around the location and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify potential issues.
  • Observe and report any unusual activity or security-related concerns to the appropriate authorities and/or Allied Universal management.
  • Assist with access control by monitoring entrances and exits, verifying identification when required, and maintaining visitor logs as needed.
  • Support emergency response efforts by following established protocols and assisting first responders if necessary.
  • Maintain a professional presence and provide information or assistance to employees, visitors, and the public as needed.
