About The Position

As a Security Officer - Government Patrol Operations in Brooklyn, NY, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. Requirements

A valid New York State Security Guard License is required.
Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies and/or emergency response activities as directed by Allied Universal.
Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following guidance as appropriate for a government location.
Conduct regular and random patrols around the location and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify potential issues.
Observe and report any unusual activity or security-related concerns to the appropriate authorities and/or Allied Universal management.
Assist with access control by monitoring entrances and exits, verifying identification when required, and maintaining visitor logs as needed.
Support emergency response efforts by following established protocols and assisting first responders if necessary.
Maintain a professional presence and provide information or assistance to employees, visitors, and the public as needed.
