About The Position

As a Security Officer - Government Patrol Lead in Richmond, VA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As a Patrol Unarmed Officer with Allied Universal, you will monitor and patrol designated government locations, helping to deter security-related incidents and maintaining a visible presence. You will interact with the public, provide exceptional customer service, and communicate clearly with team members. Requirements

  • At least 1 year of security-related experience is required.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, following site-specific policies, and responding to emergency situations when appropriate.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm and problem-solving manner, maintaining professionalism at all times.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the location and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and support overall security-related objectives.
  • Observe and report any suspicious activity or security-related incidents as per Allied Universal and client procedures.
  • Assist with access control by monitoring entry and exit points and verifying credentials as required.
  • Work collaboratively with site personnel and/or public officials to address security-related concerns or incidents.
  • Complete detailed and accurate daily activity reports and incident reports as required by Allied Universal and client guidelines.
