About The Position
As a Security Officer - Government Patrol Foot in Cedarhurst, NY , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As a Patrol Unarmed Officer with Allied Universal, you will monitor and patrol designated government locations, helping to deter security-related incidents while remaining highly visible. You will conduct routine patrols, provide outstanding customer service, and communicate clearly with staff and visitors. Requirements
- At least 6 months of security-related experience is required.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies, as well as responding to emergencies when appropriate.
- Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner.
- Conduct regular and random patrols around the location and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and promote a secure environment.
- Observe and report any suspicious activity or potential hazards to Allied Universal management and/or client representatives.
- Assist with access control and monitor entry and exit points as required by site procedures.
- Support emergency response activities according to established protocols and training.
- Maintain detailed and accurate records of daily activities, incidents, and/or unusual occurrences.
