Job Description As a Security Officer - Government Patrol Coverage in Bronx, NY, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. Join Allied Universal as a Patrol Unarmed Officer, where you will play a key role in helping to deter security-related incidents and provide outstanding customer service within a government location. You will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence, and communicate with staff and visitors to help create a secure and welcoming environment. Requirements

A valid New York State Security Guard License is required.
At least one year of security-related experience is required.
Proof of high school diploma or GED is required.
Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

Access control or badge experience is preferred.
Customer service experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, following site-specific policies, and participating in emergency response activities when appropriate.
Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner to support a secure environment at the location.
Conduct regular and random patrols around the premises and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify any potential issues.
Monitor entrances, exits, and other key areas to observe and report unusual or suspicious activity.
Document and report all incidents, observations, and activities according to Allied Universal protocols.
Assist visitors and employees with directions and information as needed while maintaining a professional presence.
Collaborate with local law enforcement or emergency personnel as required during critical situations.
Adhere to all company policies and procedures to maintain a consistent and reliable security-related presence at the government location.
