Job Description As a Security Officer - Government Patrol Coverage in Bronx, NY, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. You will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence, and communicate with staff and visitors to help create a secure and welcoming environment. Requirements

  • A valid New York State Security Guard License is required.
  • At least one year of security-related experience is required.
  • Proof of high school diploma or GED is required.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Access control or badge experience is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, following site-specific policies, and participating in emergency response activities when appropriate.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner to support a secure environment at the location.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around the premises and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify any potential issues.
  • Monitor entrances, exits, and other key areas to observe and report unusual or suspicious activity.
  • Document and report all incidents, observations, and activities according to Allied Universal protocols.
  • Assist visitors and employees with directions and information as needed while maintaining a professional presence.
  • Collaborate with local law enforcement or emergency personnel as required during critical situations.
  • Adhere to all company policies and procedures to maintain a consistent and reliable security-related presence at the government location.
