About The Position

As a Security Officer - Government Front Desk Support in Dulles, VA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As a Front Desk Security Professional with Allied Universal at a government location, you will play a key role in providing a welcoming presence while monitoring access and assisting visitors. You will help to deter security-related incidents by managing entry points and delivering outstanding customer service. Requirements

  • At least 1 year of security-related experience is required.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Access control or badge experience is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies at the front desk of a government location.
  • Monitor visitor access and maintain visitor logs to help to deter unauthorized entry.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established protocols.
  • Assist with emergency response activities when appropriate, including communication with relevant personnel.
  • Observe and report any unusual activity or security-related concerns to Allied Universal management and/or client representatives.
  • Support the implementation of location-specific security-related measures and protocols as directed.
  • Maintain a professional presence at the front desk, answering inquiries and assisting visitors as needed.
