As a Screener in a government location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, helping to deter security-related incidents and providing exceptional customer service. You will conduct routine patrols, remain visible to promote a secure environment, and engage with individuals in a professional and courteous manner. Requirements

Have at least 2 years of law enforcement, military police, or corrections experience.
Be at least 21 years of age.
An armed guard card or license is preferred.
Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service by carrying out security-related screening procedures and following site-specific policies at the location.
Monitor entry points and screen individuals entering the premises according to established protocols.
Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, escalating issues as necessary.
Communicate clearly and professionally with visitors, staff, and/or law enforcement as required.
Maintain detailed and accurate records of screening activities and incidents.
Remain alert and observant while performing screening duties to help to deter unauthorized access and/or prohibited items.
Participate in emergency response activities when appropriate, following Allied Universal and site-specific guidelines.
