As a Screener in a government location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, helping to deter security-related incidents and providing exceptional customer service. You will conduct routine patrols, remain visible to promote a secure environment, and engage with individuals in a professional and courteous manner. Requirements

  • Have at least 2 years of law enforcement, military police, or corrections experience.
  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • An armed guard card or license is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service by carrying out security-related screening procedures and following site-specific policies at the location.
  • Monitor entry points and screen individuals entering the premises according to established protocols.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, escalating issues as necessary.
  • Communicate clearly and professionally with visitors, staff, and/or law enforcement as required.
  • Maintain detailed and accurate records of screening activities and incidents.
  • Remain alert and observant while performing screening duties to help to deter unauthorized access and/or prohibited items.
  • Participate in emergency response activities when appropriate, following Allied Universal and site-specific guidelines.
