As a Screener with Allied Universal at a government location, you will help to deter security-related incidents by monitoring entrances, checking credentials, and interacting with visitors and staff. Requirements

  • At least 6 months of security-related experience is required.
  • Must be at least 21 years of age.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws. Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to clients and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies, including screening protocols at government locations.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established emergency response activities as required.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around the assigned location and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity, noting that working environments and conditions may vary by site.
  • Monitor entry points and screen individuals entering the premises, verifying credentials and/or identification as part of access control procedures.
  • Communicate clearly and professionally with visitors, employees, and/or site personnel regarding site policies and procedures.
  • Document and report observations, incidents, and/or unusual activities according to Allied Universal standards and client requirements.
