Job Description As a Security Officer - Government Driving Patrol in Washington, DC , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As a Patrol Officer with Allied Universal in a government location, you will monitor and patrol designated areas, remaining visible to help deter security-related incidents while providing outstanding customer service. This is a driving post, so you will be responsible for patrolling via vehicle as part of your duties. Requirements

  • At least one year of security-related experience is required.
  • Applicants must be at least 21 years of age.
  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • CPR certification is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, following site-specific policies, and responding to emergency situations as appropriate.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, maintaining professionalism at all times.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around the assigned location and its perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and/or incidents.
  • Observe and report any unusual activity or security-related concerns encountered during patrols.
  • Communicate with Allied Universal management and/or local authorities as needed for escalation of incidents or emergencies.
  • Maintain awareness of the surroundings and site-specific protocols to help to deter unauthorized access and/or suspicious behavior.
