About The Position

As a Security Officer - Government Campus Patrol in New York, NY, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As a Security Officer with Allied Universal, you will monitor and patrol assigned government locations, helping to deter security-related incidents and providing a visible presence. You will conduct routine patrols, interact with the public, and deliver exceptional customer service and communication. Requirements

At least 6 months of security-related experience is required.
Client requires proof of high school diploma or GED.
F85 or F89 Certificate of Fitness is required for positions in New York only.
A state, county, or city issued security license is preferred.
A guard card or license is preferred.
Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures and following site-specific policies, including responding appropriately to emergency situations.
Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm and problem-solving manner, following established protocols.
Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the location and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify potential concerns.
Observe and report any irregularities, such as property damage, unusual occurrences, or unauthorized persons on the premises.
Maintain a visible presence to help to deter unwanted activity and provide reassurance to staff and visitors.
Work closely with Allied Universal management and client representatives to address security-related matters and support the overall security program at the location.
Complete required documentation and incident reports accurately and in a timely manner as per Allied Universal and client procedures.
