As a Security Officer with Allied Universal, you will monitor and patrol assigned government locations, helping to deter security-related incidents and providing a visible presence to support a secure environment. You will conduct routine patrols, assist with access control, and deliver exceptional customer service. Requirements

  • Proof of high school diploma or GED is required by the client.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

  • Access control or badge experience is preferred.
  • A guard card or license is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies and/or emergency response activities as directed by Allied Universal.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established protocols for government locations.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around the premises and perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and identify any potential issues.
  • Monitor entrances, exits, and common areas to help to deter unauthorized access and maintain a visible presence.
  • Document observations, incidents, and/or activities as required by Allied Universal and site-specific guidelines.
  • Communicate professionally with staff, visitors, and/or residents, providing assistance and information as needed.
  • Support access control measures by verifying credentials and/or assisting with visitor management procedures.
