About The Position

As a Security Guard - Government Badge Patrol in Hicksville, NY, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As an unarmed patrol officer with Allied Universal at a government location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas to help deter security-related incidents. Remaining highly visible throughout your shift, you will conduct routine patrols and interact with staff and visitors to provide outstanding customer service. Requirements

At least 6 months of security-related experience is required.
Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

Access control or badge experience is preferred.
Customer service experience is preferred.
A state, county, or city issued security license is preferred.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures, following site-specific policies and responding to emergency situations as appropriate.
Respond to incidents and critical situations at the location in a calm, problem-solving manner.
Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the location and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and observe any unusual conditions.
Monitor access points and observe individuals entering or exiting the property, reporting any suspicious behavior or activity.
Document and report all incidents, observations, and activities according to Allied Universal and client protocols.
Assist with crowd management and/or visitor control as needed during events or periods of increased activity.
Liaise with local law enforcement and/or emergency services when required, following established protocols.
Remain alert to any hazards or conditions that may require attention and communicate these to appropriate personnel.
