As a Security Officer - Government Armed Patrols in San Jose, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As a Patrol Armed Officer with Allied Universal, you will monitor and patrol government locations, helping to deter security-related incidents and providing excellent customer service. This position is both armed and driving, requiring you to respond promptly to situations and interact professionally with the public. Requirements

A valid driver's license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
At least one year of experience in armed security, law enforcement, or military roles is required.
An armed guard card or license is required.
Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner.
Conduct regular and random armed patrols around the location and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity.
Monitor and report any suspicious behavior or activity observed during patrols.
Maintain a visible presence throughout the location to help to deter potential incidents.
Communicate clearly and professionally with clients, visitors, and staff while on duty.
Assist law enforcement and emergency personnel as required, following established protocols.
Complete detailed and accurate reports of daily activities, incidents, and/or unusual occurrences.
