About The Position

As a Security Officer - Government Access Control in Orlando, FL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. Requirements

  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • At least six months of security-related experience is required.
  • Proof of high school diploma or GED is required by the client.
  • Applicants must be at least 21 years of age.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service by following security-related procedures and site-specific policies, and responding to emergencies as appropriate.
  • Monitor access points and verify credentials to help to deter unauthorized entry into the location.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of the premises and perimeter to help to deter suspicious activity.
  • Document and report security-related incidents, observations, and activities as required by Allied Universal and client protocols.
  • Communicate professionally with visitors, employees, and/or contractors while upholding Allied Universal standards.
  • Assist in implementing emergency response procedures and support evacuation or lockdown processes as needed.
