As an Allied Universal Security Officer at a residential location, you will support access control by checking credentials, issuing badges, managing visitor logs, and monitoring entry points and cameras. You will conduct routine patrols, stay highly visible to help reduce security-related incidents, and deliver responsive customer service to residents, guests, and staff. Requirements

  • Being comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.
  • Having a guard card and/or license is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to residents, guests, and vendors by following Allied Universal security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and access control requirements for a residential location.
  • Control entry and exit at designated access points by verifying identification, confirming authorization, issuing visitor credentials, and maintaining visitor and delivery logs.
  • Monitor alarms, cameras, intercoms, and/or access control systems; report irregular activity and document incidents according to post orders.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including coordinating notifications to property management and emergency responders when appropriate.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of common areas, building entrances, amenities, and the perimeter to help to deter unauthorized access and/or loitering.
