About The Position
As a Security Officer - Gatehouse Entry in Ingleside, TX, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom, and more. Requirements
- Possess a TSA issued TWIC.
- A state, county, or city issued security license is preferred.
- Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.
- Ability to lift more than 20 lbs is preferred.
- Customer service experience is preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to clients and visitors by following Allied Universal security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a tech and telecommunications location.
- Control access to the facility by verifying identification, managing visitor check-in and/or check-out, issuing temporary credentials as directed, and maintaining access logs and reports.
- Monitor entry points, alarms, cameras, and communication systems to help to deter unauthorized access and report suspicious or unusual activity.
- Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, providing timely notifications and documenting actions taken.
- Support staff and contractors with directions and general assistance, escalate concerns through the chain of command, and complete required reports and shift documentation.
