As an Access Control Officer at a busy logistics and distribution location, you will help manage entry and exit points, verify credentials, monitor cameras and alarms, and complete detailed reports using computer or tablet tools. You will remain highly visible, perform routine patrols of assigned areas, and communicate professionally with drivers, employees, and visitors. Requirements

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

• CPR certification is preferred.
• X-Ray screening experience is preferred.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service by following Allied Universal security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a logistics and distribution location.
• Manage access control by verifying identification and credentials, issuing visitor badges, maintaining access logs, and directing visitors, employees, and drivers to approved entry points.
• Support shipping and receiving operations by checking in and/or checking out commercial vehicles, reviewing bills of lading and/or pickup documentation as required by post orders, and coordinating with site personnel for dock and yard access.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting events and communicating with site contacts and/or public resources per policy.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of entry points, yard areas, and perimeter routes to help to deter unauthorized access and report hazards, suspicious activity, and/or maintenance concerns.
