You will support access points, assist staff and visitors with clear communication, and document observations as needed. Position Type: Part Time Pay Rate: $20.50 / Hour Job Schedule: Day Time Mon 01:00 PM - 09:00 PM Tue 01:00 PM - 09:00 PM

Requirements

  • Access control and badge experience is preferred.
  • A guard card and/or security-related license is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws. Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to clients at a government location by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities when appropriate.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including requesting assistance from emergency service partners when needed.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of buildings, public areas, and perimeter points to help to deter unwanted activity and/or identify hazards or maintenance issues.
  • Monitor access points and screen visitors, vendors, and deliveries in accordance with site rules, verifying identification and directing traffic as required.
  • Complete detailed reports on incidents, patrol observations, and/or policy violations, and communicate updates to site leadership and Allied Universal supervision.
