As a Screener at a busy logistics and distribution location, you will support day-to-day security-related operations by monitoring assigned areas, conducting routine patrols, managing access control and badge checks, and assisting with screening procedures. You will stay visible, communicate clearly, and provide strong customer service to team members and visitors. Requirements

  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Loss prevention experience is preferred.
  • Ability to lift more than 20 pounds is preferred.
  • Being comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • X-ray screening experience is preferred.
  • Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to employees, drivers, visitors, and/or vendors by following Allied Universal security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a logistics and distribution location.
  • Screen personnel and authorized visitors at entry points by checking identification and access credentials, managing sign-in and badge processes, and directing individuals to the proper areas.
  • Conduct screening of packages, parcels, and/or personal items using assigned equipment and manual inspection procedures as required, documenting findings per site guidelines.
  • Monitor access points, cameras, and screening areas for unusual activity, helping to deter unauthorized entry and/or prohibited items, and report conditions per post orders.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, completing reports and communicating updates to site contacts and/or dispatch as needed.
