As a Security Officer - Access Control Desk in Monmouth Junction, NJ, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls, and more. As an Access Control Officer with Allied Universal at a busy retail mall location, you will greet associates and visitors, verify credentials, manage entry points, and monitor activity to help reduce security-related incidents. You will conduct routine patrols, stay visible, respond to questions with strong customer service, and communicate clearly with site teams. Requirements

  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to clients and guests by following Allied Universal security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a retail and/or mall location.
  • Control access at designated entrances and restricted areas by verifying identification and/or credentials, managing visitor check-in and check-out, and directing foot traffic to approved points of entry.
  • Monitor alarms, CCTV, and access control systems when assigned, and document unusual activity, access issues, and/or policy violations according to post orders.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including assisting with lost children, disorderly persons, medical calls, and/or facility notifications as directed.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around the business and perimeter, including common areas, loading areas, and parking areas as assigned, and complete required reports and logs.
