Job Description As a Security Officer - Gate Control Weekdays in Kansas City, MO , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom, and more. Join Allied Universal at a leading tech, media, and telecom location where you will support access control and security-related operations, welcoming employees and visitors, checking credentials, and helping manage entry points. You will conduct routine patrols, stay highly visible to help to deter incidents, respond to concerns, and document activity with clear communication. Requirements

  • Be 21+ years of age.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to clients, staff, and visitors by following site-specific access procedures, security-related policies, and, when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Control entry and exit at designated access points by verifying identification, managing visitor registration and/or badging, and directing individuals to approved locations.
  • Monitor alarms, cameras, and access control systems and report unusual activity per site procedures to help to deter unauthorized access.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including documenting events and escalating issues through the proper channels.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around the location, entry points, and perimeter, noting hazards, access concerns, and policy violations and reporting findings to site leadership.
