About The Position

Requirements

• A minimum of 6 months of security-related experience is required.
• Proof of a high school diploma or GED is required by the client.
• A guard card or license is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to visitors, staff, and/or residents by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a government services location.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting relevant details and communicating with site contacts as needed.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout buildings, common areas, entry points, and perimeter locations to help identify unusual activity and/or policy concerns.
• Monitor access points and help to manage visitor and staff movement in accordance with site protocols, reporting suspicious behavior and/or unauthorized access attempts.
• Support daily operations by preparing reports, maintaining post records, and assisting with security-related issues involving the public in a respectful and professional manner.
