About The Position

As a Security Officer - Full-Time Patrol in Little Falls, NJ, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Auto, and more. As an unarmed Patrol Officer at a busy automotive location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, complete routine rounds, and stay highly visible to help reduce security-related incidents. You will communicate clearly with staff and visitors, document observations, and respond to concerns with a service-first mindset. Requirements

• Have a minimum of 2 years of security-related experience.
• Be comfortable using a computer or tablet preferred.
• Have customer service experience preferred.
• Have loss prevention experience preferred.
• Have a guard card and/or license preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients and guests by following Allied Universal security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols throughout auto sales, service, and parking areas, including building exterior and perimeter, to help to deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access points and vehicle entry lanes, verify authorized access as directed by site policy, and assist with visitor and vendor check-in and/or directions.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and service calls in a calm, problem-solving manner, escalating concerns to site leadership and/or emergency services when required.
• Complete shift activity logs and incident reports, document observations, and communicate updates to the oncoming officer and site contacts.
