About The Position

As a Security Officer Full Time Patrol Unit in Chicago, IL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Commercial Real Estate, and more. Requirements

• Have at least 1 year of security-related experience.
• Be at least 21 years of age.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service by carrying out assigned security-related procedures, location-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities within a commercial property environment.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting relevant details and communicating with site contacts and/or first responders as needed.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout buildings, public access areas, entrances, exits, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help to deter unwanted activity and/or identify unusual conditions.
• Monitor visitor, tenant, and vendor activity while reporting maintenance concerns, access issues, and/or suspicious behavior according to site protocols.
• Support crowd management, access control, and/or directional assistance during busy periods, special events, and changing location conditions.
