About The Position

As a Security Officer - Full-Time Municipal Patrol in Corpus Christi, TX, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As an unarmed Patrol Officer supporting a government location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, conduct routine rounds, and maintain a visible presence that helps to reduce security-related incidents. You will assist visitors and staff with courteous service, clear communication, and timely reporting. Requirements

• Be 21+ years of age.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• A state, county, or city issued security license is preferred.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service at a government location by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities when appropriate.
• Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols of buildings, public areas, and perimeter routes, checking doors, gates, lighting, and restricted areas for irregularities.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity, assist with directions and general inquiries, and help to report unauthorized entry, loitering, and/or policy violations.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including dispatching appropriate notifications and documenting actions taken.
• Complete timely written reports, activity logs, and incident documentation, and communicate observations to site leadership and/or public protection personnel.
