Job Description As a Security Officer - Full-Time Logistics Entry Screener in Hagerstown, MD , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Logistics & Distribution, and more. As a Screener at a logistics and distribution location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, helping to deter security-related incidents while maintaining a visible presence. You will provide exceptional customer service and clear communication to all visitors and staff. Requirements

A guard card or license is preferred.
Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws. Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

Carry out security-related screening procedures for personnel, vehicles, and/or packages entering or exiting the logistics and distribution location.
Provide customer service by addressing questions and assisting individuals in a professional manner while following site-specific policies and protocols.
Help to deter unauthorized access by monitoring entry points and verifying credentials as required by site procedures.
Respond to incidents and critical situations at the logistics and distribution location in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established emergency response protocols.
Communicate clearly with team members and site management regarding any observed issues or incidents.
Maintain accurate records of screening activities and report any irregularities according to site guidelines.
Support Allied Universal in upholding a secure environment through consistent application of security-related procedures.
