As a Security Officer - Full-Time Access Control in Pasadena, TX, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Chemical / Petrochemical, and more. As a Security Officer specializing in access control at a chemical and petrochemical location, you will monitor entry points, conduct routine patrols, and help to deter security-related incidents through your presence and attention to detail. You will interact with employees and visitors, provide exceptional customer service, and communicate clearly while using technology such as computers or tablets. Requirements

  • Comfort with using a computer and/or tablet is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Monitor access points at the chemical or petrochemical location to verify authorization of personnel and visitors.
  • Perform security-related checks of badges and credentials to help to deter unauthorized entry.
  • Provide customer service by following site-specific procedures and responding to inquiries in a professional manner.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm and problem-solving manner, escalating issues as needed.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of the facility and perimeter to help to deter suspicious activity.
  • Observe and report any unusual conditions or activity to Allied Universal management and client representatives as appropriate.
  • Assist with emergency response activities according to established protocols for the location.
  • Complete required documentation and logs related to access control and security-related activities.
