As a Security Officer - Full-Time Access Control Gate in Woodway, TX, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Manufacturing & Industrial, and more. As an Access Control Officer with Allied Universal, you will monitor and manage entry points at a prominent manufacturing and industrial location. Your responsibilities include conducting routine patrols, maintaining a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and providing outstanding customer service and communication. You will play an important role in creating a secure environment for employees and visitors, while upholding the values of agility, reliability, and teamwork that define Allied Universal. This position is ideal for someone who enjoys engaging with people and is comfortable using a computer or tablet.
Requirements
- Comfort with using a computer or tablet is preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to clients and guests by following security-related procedures and site-specific policies.
- Manage access control by verifying identification and granting or denying entry to authorized personnel, visitors, and vehicles.
- Monitor entry and exit points to help to deter unauthorized access within the manufacturing and industrial location.
- Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner while adhering to established protocols.
- Conduct regular and random patrols around the facility and its perimeter to observe and report any unusual activities or potential hazards.
- Maintain accurate records of access logs, visitor sign-ins, and incident reports as required by Allied Universal and client procedures.
- Support emergency response activities by assisting with evacuations and/or following emergency protocols as directed.
- Communicate clearly and professionally with clients, visitors, and Allied Universal management regarding security-related matters.
