As a Front Desk Officer at an aerospace and defense location, you will be the first point of contact for employees and visitors, helping manage access, verify credentials, and support visitor processing. You will monitor alarms and cameras, maintain accurate logs, and communicate concerns quickly and professionally. Requirements

  • An active DoD Secret Clearance is required.
  • A state, county, or city issued security license is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to clients and visitors at the front desk by following site-specific security-related procedures and access control policies.
  • Greet, screen, and process employees, contractors, and visitors, including confirming identification, issuing temporary credentials, and maintaining visitor logs.
  • Monitor security-related systems and communications such as cameras, alarms, phones, radios, and email, and route concerns to the appropriate contacts.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including initiating emergency response activities per post orders and client instructions.
  • Complete detailed reports and documentation for incidents, access issues, and unusual activity, and coordinate with on-site staff and/or external responders as needed.
