About The Position

As a Security Officer - Front Desk in Los Angeles, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Commercial Real Estate, and more. As a Front Desk Officer in a commercial real estate location, you will be the first point of contact for tenants, guests, and vendors, supporting access procedures, visitor check-in, and security-related reporting with clear, professional communication. You will maintain a consistent presence at the lobby desk, respond to inquiries and incidents, and partner with on-site teams. Requirements

  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

  • Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • Alarm panel experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to tenants, visitors, and property staff at the front desk by following Allied Universal post orders, site-specific policies, and access control procedures.
  • Monitor lobby activity and building entry points to help to deter unauthorized access, and verify identification, credentials, and visitor purpose per location requirements.
  • Operate and/or monitor security-related systems such as visitor management tools, cameras, and alarm panels, and document observations and system activity as required.
  • Respond to incidents, requests for assistance, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, and coordinate notifications to property management and/or emergency services when directed.
  • Complete accurate written reports and log entries, including incident reports, key control records, package delivery tracking, and shift handoff information.
