Job Description As a Security Officer - Tech Campus Front Desk in Carmel, IN , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom, and more. As a Front Desk Security Officer with Allied Universal at a leading tech, media, and telecom location, you will be the first point of contact for visitors and employees. You will help to deter security-related incidents by managing access control, verifying credentials, and providing exceptional customer service. Requirements

  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • Access control or badge experience is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide excellent customer service to clients, visitors, and employees at the front desk by following security-related procedures and site-specific policies.
  • Monitor access to the location by verifying identification, issuing visitor badges, and maintaining visitor logs to help to deter unauthorized entry.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations at the front desk in a calm, problem-solving manner, escalating issues as appropriate.
  • Communicate professionally with staff and guests, answering questions and providing information about the location as needed.
  • Assist with emergency response activities at the front desk, following established protocols and notifying appropriate personnel.
  • Maintain a visible presence at the front desk to help to deter potential security-related issues and promote a welcoming environment.
  • Document all security-related incidents, observations, and activities in daily reports or logs as required by Allied Universal and site management.
