Job Description As a Security Officer - Welcome Desk in Seattle, WA , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries. As a Front Desk Officer with Allied Universal, you will be the first point of contact at a professional location, greeting visitors, verifying access, monitoring security-related activity, and responding to incidents with clear communication. You will support a smooth lobby experience using computers and/or tablets while staying visible to help reduce disruptions. Requirements

  • Have at least 2 years of security-related experience.
  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • A guard card and/or license is preferred.
  • Be comfortable using a computer and/or tablet is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to clients and visitors by following Allied Universal security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities when appropriate.
  • Staff the front desk to greet and direct visitors, manage sign-in and credential verification, and support access control procedures.
  • Monitor lobby activity, alarms, cameras, and/or other systems as assigned, and report unusual activity according to site-specific guidelines to help to deter incidents.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting actions taken and notifying appropriate contacts.
  • Complete required logs, reports, and shift handoffs, and communicate professionally with site personnel and/or emergency responders as needed.
