About The Position

As a Security Officer - Front Desk in Sarasota, FL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Residential, and more. As a Front Desk Officer at a residential location, you will welcome residents and guests, manage access requests, monitor cameras and alarms, document security-related activity, and respond to concerns with calm, clear communication. You will represent Allied Universal with integrity, teamwork, and a caring, people-first approach, helping to support a dependable, professional lobby presence while staying agile, reliable, and innovative in daily operations.

Requirements

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to residents, guests, and vendors at the front desk by carrying out site-specific security-related procedures, access guidelines, and emergency response activities when appropriate.
• Monitor and control entry by greeting visitors, verifying identification and/or authorization, issuing visitor credentials, and directing traffic according to property rules.
• Answer phones, manage resident inquiries, and coordinate with property management, maintenance, and/or emergency services as needed while maintaining a professional front desk presence.
• Observe lobby and entryway activity, report suspicious activity, and help to deter unwanted access by maintaining awareness and following escalation procedures.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting events and completing reports per Allied Universal and site requirements.
