Requirements

  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with access control and badge systems is preferred.
  • Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • A guard card and/or license is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service by greeting employees, visitors, and contractors at the front desk, following site-specific policies and security-related procedures for the location.
  • Monitor lobby activity, manage visitor check-in and sign-in processes, and verify credentials before granting access to authorized areas.
  • Answer phones, assist with directions and general inquiries, and communicate with site contacts regarding arrivals, deliveries, and/or access requests.
  • Respond to incidents, unusual activity, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including contacting appropriate personnel and/or emergency services when needed.
  • Complete routine logs, incident reports, and front desk documentation while helping to support emergency response activities and day-to-day operations.
