As a Security Officer - Front Desk Tech Campus in Henrico, VA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom, and more. As a Front Desk Security Officer at a leading technology location, you will be the first point of contact, helping to deter security-related incidents while providing exceptional customer service. You will monitor entry points, verify credentials, and respond to inquiries with professionalism. This position requires a valid driver's license, as driving responsibilities are part of the role. Requirements

  • At least 2 years of security-related experience required.
  • A valid driver's license is required in the state where the job is located.
  • Proof of high school diploma or GED is required by the client.
  • Must be at least 21 years of age.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Greet and assist employees, visitors, and guests at the front desk, providing excellent customer service while following security-related procedures and protocols.
  • Monitor access to the location by verifying identification and authorizing entry as appropriate, helping to deter unauthorized individuals from entering the premises.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations at the front desk in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established Allied Universal and site-specific policies.
  • Maintain accurate and detailed records of visitor activity, incidents, and other front desk operations as required by Allied Universal and client procedures.
  • Communicate promptly and professionally with site staff, Allied Universal management, and emergency responders as needed during incidents or emergencies.
  • Support site-specific emergency response activities, including assisting with evacuations and/or lockdowns when appropriate.
  • Remain alert to unusual activity or potential security-related concerns at the front desk area, promptly reporting observations according to Allied Universal protocols.
