About The Position

As a Security Officer Front Desk Specialist in Austin, TX, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom, and more. Join Allied Universal at a dynamic tech, media, and telecom location as a Front Desk Officer, where you will greet visitors, manage access control, monitor lobby activity, and support security-related operations with professionalism and care. Requirements

  • At least 1 year of security-related experience is required.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Access control and badge experience is preferred.
  • A state, county, and/or city issued security license is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • CPR certification is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service at the front desk by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, visitor reception duties, badge access support, and/or emergency response activities when appropriate.
  • Respond to incidents, access concerns, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner while communicating clearly with employees, guests, and site contacts.
  • Monitor lobby and entry activity, verify visitor credentials, manage sign-in processes, and help to deter unauthorized access in a professional technology-focused location.
  • Answer questions, provide directions, and support front desk operations for employees, contractors, and/or guests while documenting relevant security-related events and unusual activity.
  • Operate assigned communication systems and front desk tools to report concerns, coordinate with site leadership, and support day-to-day security-related awareness at the location.
