About The Position

As a Security Officer - Front Desk Logistics Hub in Lakeland, FL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Logistics & Distribution, and more. As a Front Desk Officer at a logistics and distribution location, you will be the first point of contact, greeting visitors and assisting with access control. Your role involves monitoring entry points, verifying credentials, and providing outstanding customer service while helping to deter security-related incidents. Requirements

  • At least 1 year of security-related experience is required.
  • A guard card or license is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Greet and assist visitors, employees, and/or delivery personnel at the front desk, providing a professional and courteous presence.
  • Monitor access to the location, verifying credentials and maintaining visitor logs as required by site-specific policies.
  • Carry out security-related procedures and follow site-specific protocols to help to deter unauthorized access and/or incidents.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following Allied Universal protocols and client site instructions.
  • Communicate clearly and promptly with Allied Universal management and client representatives regarding security-related issues or emergencies.
  • Support customer service initiatives by addressing inquiries, providing directions, and/or assisting with other front desk duties as needed.
  • Remain alert and attentive while stationed at the front desk, observing activity in the immediate area and reporting any unusual circumstances according to established procedures.
