As an Allied Universal Access Control Officer at a fast-paced logistics and distribution location, you will monitor entry points, verify credentials, manage visitor and badge processes, and conduct routine patrols to help support a secure environment. You will remain visible, communicate clearly with staff and drivers, and respond to security-related concerns with professionalism and care. Bring an agile, reliable, innovative mindset, acting with integrity and teamwork every shift.

Requirements

Have at least 1+ years of security-related experience.
Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to personnel and visitors at a logistics and distribution location by carrying out access control procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
Verify identification and/or credentials, process visitor check-in and check-out, issue temporary access credentials as directed, and maintain accurate access logs and reports.
Monitor entry and exit points for employees, contractors, and delivery drivers, help to deter unauthorized access, and coordinate with site contacts regarding access approvals and restricted areas.
Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including disputes at access points, alarms, and requests for assistance, and document actions taken.
Support vehicle and trailer gate operations by checking shipping documentation and/or appointment information as directed, observing inbound and outbound traffic flow, and reporting irregularities per post orders.
