As an unarmed patrol officer supporting a fast-paced tech location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, conduct routine patrols, and remain visible to help to deter security-related incidents. You will respond to alarms, support access control, and document activity using computers and/or tablets while delivering strong customer service. Requirements
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
Nice To Haves
- Alarm panel experience is preferred.
- Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.
- A guard card and/or license is preferred.
- The ability to lift more than 20 lbs is preferred.
- Being comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to clients, employees, contractors and/or visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a technology-focused location.
- Respond to incidents, alarms and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including reporting and documenting events per site requirements.
- Conduct regular and random patrols of offices, building interiors, loading areas, and perimeter areas to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or policy violations.
- Control access at designated entrances by checking identification, verifying authorization, issuing visitor credentials, and directing traffic flow as needed.
- Monitor cameras, access control panels, and other security-related systems, and communicate relevant information to site contacts, first responders, and/or Allied Universal supervision.
