As a Security Officer Driver Screener in Irving, TX, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Logistics & Distribution, and more. Join Allied Universal as a Screener at a busy logistics and distribution location, where you will help monitor site access, conduct screening activities, and support security-related operations with professionalism and care. Requirements

  • Possess at least 6 months of security-related experience.
  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.

Nice To Haves

  • Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to visitors, drivers, and staff by carrying out site-specific screening procedures, access control practices, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Screen people, packages, and/or personal items entering or exiting the location in accordance with post orders and established screening protocols.
  • Monitor entry and exit points, verify credentials, and document screening-related activity, incidents, and unusual conditions in required logs and reports.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, escalating concerns to site contacts and/or emergency services when appropriate.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around the location and perimeter, observing for unusual activity and reporting security-related concerns in loading, shipping, and receiving areas.
